Try deleting any extra tunes, designs, photos or blueprints you are not using. If you go to Garage>Designs&Paints>My Designs - you will be able to delete downloaded liveries. If you go to Garage>Upgrades&Tuning>My Tunes - you will be able to delete downloaded tunes.
After this you are given 3 options by the game in that preview: Save, Exit, or Change Watermark Position. Go through the save option until after you give it a name. Then you can choose to share it or cancel. I just rechecked and you can avoid sharing the photo but just save it instead.
