Here’s what you need to do: Turn on your laptop or PC and ensure it is connected to a power source. Locate a USB cable that is compatible with your PS4 controller. Connect one end of the USB cable to a USB port on your laptop or PC. Insert the other end of the USB cable into the micro USB port on your PS4 controller. Learn how easy it is to connect PS4 wireless controller to your computer (Laptop or PC) either by using Blutooth to pair your controller with the computer or Download DS4Windows to use a PS4 controller on PC. This solution requires a third-party software in order to work, so head on over to the DS4Windows site and make sure you have the most up-to-date
You can use a battery pack or micro USB charger (most cellphones have one of those) to charge the controller but since you said your controller desynced, that won't help you much. Next, you can buy or borrow a second controller and use it to sync the other one. Lastly, if different cables fail and the second controller isn't working via USB
I was using the charger that came with my Samsung phone, and sure enough, my controller eventually died and wouldn't charge, regardless of what cable I used. That's weird, I'm using my (genuine) Samsung Adaptive fast charger since day one to charge both my Dualshock 4 v2 controllers and never had a problem.
Power off the PS4 (not just rest mode). Push a paper clip into the reset hole on the back of the controller and hold for 5 seconds. Reconnect the controller to the PS4 and press and hold the PS button until it turns on. If that doesn’t work, buy a new, good quality cable and try that. And if the console port is fried you’re out of luck.
